Peach Pound Cake

- 1 Cup butter softened shopping list
- 2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 3 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 3 cups diced peaches (fresh or frozen that have been thawed and drained. shopping list
- Confectioners'sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350F,
- Whip together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition.
- Stir in almond & vanilla extracts.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- Add flour mixture alternately with the sour cream to creamed butter and sugar.
- Fold in peaches, (Do not over stir)
- Spoon into pan, bake 55 to 65 minutes ( mine took longer) until toothpick comes out clean,
- Cool 15 minutes before inverting onto plate.
- Dust with confectioners' sugar. Serves 12 to 14.
- I used a light lemon glaze. instead of the powered sugar.
