Butter Tart

- 5 tablespoons of butter, room temperature shopping list
- 1 cup of light brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp of heavy sweet cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup of raisins shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 1 recipe of cream cheese pastry (posted) or shopping list
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crust dough, cut in 6 inch diameter circles shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Mix together the butter, brown sugar, cream, raisins and egg.
- Line muffin cups with pastry circles and spoon in the filling til the cups are 3/4 full.
- Bake for 8 minutes and then reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake another 8 minutes longer until the filling and crust is lightly brown.
- Remove from pan while still warm and cool on a rack.
- Top with confectioner's sugar or whipped cream.
