How to make it

  • DUNCAN HINES BUTTER RECIPE CAKE MIX. FOLLOW BOX DIRECTIONS TO PREPARE.
  • BRING WATER TO A BOIL IN SAUCE PAN. STIR IN SUGAR AND DISSOLVE. SPOON IN PEANUT BUTTER. KEEP STIRRING ON HIGH HEAT THE ENTIRE TIME IT TAKES THE ICING TO DEVELOP. APPROX 15-20 MINUTES. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED IT WILL SCORCH.
  • TEST ICING. DROP A DROPLET OF ICING INTO A CUP OF WATER IF IT STAYS INTACT IT IS READY. TAKE OFF HEAT. IF IT DOES NOT STAY INTACT COOK SOME MORE.
  • ALLOW TO COOL AND THICKEN. PUT IN FRIDGE UNTIL COOL ENOUGH TO SPREAD.
  • YOU CAN FIX ANYTYPE OF CAKE. I PREFER A BUNDT CAKE. ICING WILL BE THE TEXTURE OF A GLAZE THAT WILL HARDEN.
  • YOU WILL HAVE A VERY UGLY CAKE BUT IT IS SOOOOOO GOOD!

    this cake sounds really good and I am going to only make one change to mine i will put strawberry or grape jam with the cake mix making it a peanut butter and jelly bundt cake.what a fun sounding cake. thanks.
