Who doesn't love jam jam's. Kids love it you can get 18 to 24 cookies, all depends on your cookie cutter.

Ingredients
  • 1 c Brown Sugar
  • 1 c Shortening
  • 2 Eggs
  • 6 tbsp Dark Syrup
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 ½ c Flour

Directions
  1. Add all ingredients; except for flour. Mix well.
  2. Add flour 1 cup at a time; until batter in a roll able state.
  3. Roll batter ¼ inch thick; cut using a cookie cutter, place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 for 5 min. till golden brown. Let cool
  4. Fill with 1 to 1 ½ tbsp of your favorite jam.
  5. Makes 18 to 24 cookies depending on your cutter size.
  6. Store in plastic container over night (on counter-not fridge).
