How to make it

  • Make a simple syrup by boiling water and sugar together for five minutes.
  • Add mint leaves, lemon juice and zest.
  • Cover and let stand for 6-8 hours; strain-reserve all liquid.
  • To serve, fill glasses 1/4 with syrup and add water and ice.
  • Enjoy!

    Oh, I'm going to try this at my next tea party. Kind of a "mint Julip" without the booze...(I've never had one actually but sounds like something you would serve at an afternoon tea.)
