Ingredients
  • 4 C. Water
  • 2 C. Sugar
  • 2 C. Fresh mint leaves
  • 3 Lemons, juiced and zest peeled.
  • *This makes a concentrated syrup that can be frozen until you're ready to use it!*

Directions
  1. Make a simple syrup by boiling water and sugar together for five minutes.
  2. Add mint leaves, lemon juice and zest.
  3. Cover and let stand for 6-8 hours; strain-reserve all liquid.
  4. To serve, fill glasses 1/4 with syrup and add water and ice.
  5. Enjoy!

Oh, I'm going to try this at my next tea party. Kind of a "mint Julip" without the booze...(I've never had one actually but sounds like something you would serve at an afternoon tea.)
