Easy Butter Cake

My uncle's favourite butter cake recipe. It's so easy to make, my younger sister made it and it came out perfectly! Best served the day its made, fresh out of the oven. Good alone or with a cuppa.
Ingredients
- 125g(around 4 1/2oz) softened butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla(optional) shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups self-raising flour (sifted) shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven at 180c
- Cream sugar and butter together until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Fold in flour and milk, but don't over mix.
- Transfer to a loaf or cake tin and bake for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Yumm
