Ingredients
  • 3 pints fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 10 egg yolks
  • 1 cup champagne

Directions
  1. Rinse berries. Then drain and hull.
  2. Place 6 equal portions in small serving dishes.
  3. In the top of a double boiler, whisk together sugar and egg yolks.
  4. Stir in champagne. Place over simmering water, whisking constantly, until mixture becomes thick and foamy.
  5. Pour sauce over berries, and serve.

Mmmmm,love sabayon! Many years ago I catered an art show opening and part of it consisted of HUGE bowls of strawberries surrounded by all kinds of dippers...including sabayon! Sensual and decadent dessert, sweetie.


Wow, I have never had this and I want some. I love strawberries and champagne so I know I will love this!
