Oatmeal Kiss Cookies

This makes approx. 72 cookies, I know no one will eat just one, but I had to say 72 as I was called on my servings the other day ;0(
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2-1/4 cups quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- 72 milk chocolate kisses shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats and nuts. Roll into 1-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately
- press a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. Remove to wire
- racks.
