Green Tea Poached Shrimp Stir Fry With Green Tea Vinaigrette Recipe
I love this dish, my friend taught me how to make this several years back ,and it has been a show stopper for me ever since.

  • Green Tea Vinaigrette
  • 1 Tbs sesame seed oil
  • 1 Tbs rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup green tea
  • 4 tsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, minced

  • Green Tea Stir-Fry
  • 2 Tbs peanut oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 oz Savoy cabbage, shredded
  • 8 oz fresh baby spinach
  • 1 oz snow peas
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup fresh bean sprouts
  • 1/4 cup vegetable stock
  • 4 green tea bags - contents of
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Poached shrimp
  • 16 large raw shrimp
  • 10 green tea bags
  • 1 Tbs fresh ginger, minced

Directions
  1. Make green tea by pouring 5 cups of boiling water over 10 tea bags, steep for 10 minutes and set aside.
  2. Combine and whisk all the vinaigrette ingredients in a medium size bowl, reserve.
  3. Heat the peanut oil in a pre-heated wok or deep frying pan.
  4. Lower the heat slightly.
  5. Add minced garlic to pan and stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
  6. Stir in cabbage, spinach, snow peas, broccoli, bean sprouts, salt and contents of the 4 green tea bags.
  7. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Add the vegetable stock, cover and cook or 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Remove the lid and stir in sesame oil. Mix thoroughly.
  10. In a large skillet, add 4 cups of green tea, garlic and ginger and simmer for 10 minutes.
  11. Shell and devein the shrimp, place into the simmering green tea broth for 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp become pink.
  12. Place the stir-fried vegetables on a warm dish and top with the poached shrimp.
  13. Pour vinaigrette over the shrimp and vegetables.
  14. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

That sounds great. And full of anti-oxidants too. But I guess we can't hold that against it.
