How to make it

  • SYRUP:
  • Stir water and sugar together in a saucepan, bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat, add the lemon juice. Cool to room temperature.
  • FILLING:
  • Grate peel from lemons and squeeze out juice. Measure out 2T peel and 1cup of juice. Stir 1cup of sugar with cornstarch in a thick bottomed pot. Whisk in juice, peel and egg yolks. Cook until thick but do not boil. Cover with directly with cling wrap to prevent skin forming. Cool. In a large bowl beat mascarpone cheese with remaining 1/2cup of sugar. Fold in cooled lemon and egg mixture.
  • Beat heavy cream to soft peaks and fold gently into cheese mixture.
  • ASSEMBLY:
  • Line bottom of shallow serving dish with ladyfingers, brush with syrup. Spread with half of the lemon cheese mixture. Repeat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Garnish with berries.

    Hi there...I am the only person I know that has never tried tiramisu-though I have heard it's awesome.And since lemon is my favorite-I will definitely have to try it out soon!
