Easy Nutty  Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe
Rhodes recipe called "Nutty Chip Bread". Decadent and delicious. Of course one can use their own bread dough recipe too

Ingredients
  • 1 Loaf frozen and thawed White Bread Dough or your own recipe
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened and mixed with 2 Tbs sugar and 1 egg
  • 1 small bag of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions
  1. Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Roll loaf or combined rolls into a 10x16-inch rectangle.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove wrap and spread dough with softened cream cheese mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
  6. Roll up jelly roll style starting with a long side.
  7. Place seam side down on a sprayed baking pan.
  8. Using a sharp, serrated knife cut some vents in the top.
  9. Bake at 350°F 25-30 minutes.
  10. Cool on rack.
  11. Slice when cooled

This sounds so good! I do plan to make it but I have one question. Is there no rising time once you fill and roll the dough?

I double checked recipe site/photo and there is no rising time. The photo did not look at all like a puffy loaf but more like filled pastry!!
