Ingredients
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 6 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions
  1. In large mixer bowl, with an electric mixer, mix all ingredients EXCEPT chocolate chips and pecans
  2. Beat well
  3. Pour into a greased 9 X 13 inch pan
  4. Sprinkle chocolate pieces and pecans on top
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes
  6. These bars are chewy and may not look done, but are
  7. Cool and cut into bars
