Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oil over Medium-High heat, add jalapeños, and fry for approximately 2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef. Brown just slightly, and add onion, and garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until meat is thoroughly browned.
  • Add tomato's. The dish is done when little or no liquid remains (or you can cheat and drain some of the liquid), and the tomato's are soft enough to mush.
  • Serve with warm tortillas (corn or flour) refried beans, Spanish rice, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole...the ideas are endless....Enjoy!

You are exactly right waterlily...we use all different kinds of meat for it...hamburger is just the way we make it most (it's cheaper..shhh!) My husband uses pork steaks cut into bite size pieces a lot also! Let me know what you think of it after you try it! THX!

Sounds yummy, I'll be trying this one soon. I can also imagine it would be quite tasty substituting chicken, shrimp, or steak for the ground beef!

I just made an edit to this recipe, I saw that I had forgotten to tell everyone when to add the jalapeños! Now you can try it...and don't forget to let me know what you think of it when you do! Thx!
