Hearty Kielbasa Stew

- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
- 2 (16 oz) kielbasa (I used 1 smoked) sliced into 1/2" slices shopping list
- 2 cups chopped carrots shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 4 cups chopped cabbage shopping list
- 1 cup white wine or apple juice shopping list
- 1 (15 oz) tomatoe sauce shopping list
- 1 (14-1/2" oz) can diced tomatoe shopping list
- 1 (10-3/4 oz) tomatoe soup shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper shopping list
- 2 chopped up shallots shopping list
- 1 tsp seasoned salt shopping list
- 1 can (8 oz) saukeraut drained shopping list
- 4 gloves chopped garlic shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 1 can drained kidney beans shopping list
- Optional but makes for flavorable: pork ribs and 1/2 stick pepperoni shopping list
How to make it
- Heat butter & oil in dutch oven, add kielbasa and brown over medium heat (use may get excess water, drain but not all of it)
- Remove kielbasa and set aside
- Add carrots, onion, garlic, shallots, and cook over medium heat until softened
- Add all remaining ingredients and kielbasa, bring to boil and reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 2 hours to enhance the flavors.

Very good stuff and I kept the sauerkraut. We love kielbasa and this was very very good stuff.
