Onion Shortcake

This is so very good. A wonderful side dish for any meal
Ingredients
- 2 cups buttermilk baking mix shopping list
- 2/3 cup milk shopping list
- 2 large onions thinly sliced shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 large egg fork beaten shopping list
- 1/4 cup grated cheese ( cheddar, swiss etc ) shopping list
How to make it
- Saute onions in butter till soft and tender and cool.
- Make a dough from baking mix, and milk.
- Mix sour cream, salt, and egg together
- Spread dough onto a greased 9 x 13 baking dish
- Top with the onions
- Spread on the sour cream mixture.
- Sprinkle top with the cheese
- Bake preheated 350F oven about 25 or set and tested done.
- Cut into pieces to serve
