Wonderful! Reminds me of my great Aunt Neil. What few things she wrote down, you couldn't quite understand what she meant. Just had to quess at it. Great post!

Hello...
The 'photo' is so NEAT!!!
and needless, to say, the Recipes'...
YES, both cookie recipes!
I copied down the 'Spicey Fruit' recipe and I plan on baking that one, too.!
The 'recipe' page looks like some that were in my
Mother's personal file!...One that I really liked that she made for me as a child...I even had 'framed...as is...'
and hung it on the wall in my kitchen...!
Thank-you for sharing...recipes, as well as, memories!
....mjcmcook....
Oh...I almost forgot...silly me...
A "5" FORKS !

What a priceless memory of your grandma, notcho - I TREASURE those few hand written recipes from family members that I have come to possess. Erin was looking through my recipes boxes a few weeks ago - remarking about this recipe or that, and the memories that were tied to it - when she suddenly stopped and said "It's sad that my generation won't have anything like this". I realized how absolutely correct she was - with computers and the internet, people seldom hand write a recipe anymore. We were both sad to think that this history of what we've eaten, enjoyed, passed down from one generation to the next, will one day soon be a thing of the past. So treasure those hand written recipes you have, and be sure to jot down a few family favorites for your daughter to treasure some day in the far, far future!!!
