Black Forest Torte

- 1 (18.25 ounce) box Moist Deluxe dark chocolate fudge cake mix shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups whipping cream, chilled shopping list
- 2 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling, chilled shopping list
- Grated semi-sweet chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Prepare cake batter as directed on package. Pour into two greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans. bake as directed on package.
- In bowl, beat whipping cream with mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
- Place one cake layer onto serving plate. Spread two thirds pie filling onto cake to within 1/2 inch of edge. Spread 1 1/2 cups whipped cream mixture over pie filling. Top with second cake layer.
- Frost sides and top with remaining whipped cream mixture. Spread
- remaining pie filling on top to within 1 inch of edge. Chill
- until ready to serve. Garnish with grated chocolate.
