Ingredients

1 3/4 C SUGAR

1 C OIL

3 EGGS

2 C FLOUR

1 C CHOPPED NUTS

2 C SLICED APPLES

1 TSP CINNAMON

1 TSP SALT

1 TSP VANILLA

powdered sugar as needed for dusting top of cake when finished.

Directions

BEAT SUGAR, EGGS, AND OIL WELL.

ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND VANILLA.

FOLDING APPLES AND NUTS.

TURN IN GREASED AND FLOURED PAN.

BAKE 375 DEGREES FOR 45 - 60 MINUTES.

SPRINKLE POWDERED SUGAR AFTER DONE.

I don't remember using either one of them. I may have omitted that part out by accident when typing. I'll find the original recipe and see if I missed something.

I may have to try this. It sounds more like a cobbler than a cake. If you use a self-rising flour that would expalin why no soda or BP.
