Ingredients
  • Dressing:
  • 4 T brown sugar
  • 1t salt
  • 6 T rice vinegar
  • 1/2 c veggie oil or I used smart balance
  • Salad Ingredients:
  • 1 head iceburg lettuce
  • 4 green onions chopped
  • 1 c crunchy asian noodles
  • 3 oz. slivered almonds toasted (325 degrees for 10 minutes or 5 minutes on high in microwave stirring every minute after 3 minutes)
  • 1 4 oz. package shelled sunflower seeds

Directions
  1. Dressing:
  2. Simply mix together - room temp do not chill
  3. Salad:
  4. Rinse & spin lettuce.
  5. Chop lettuce and toss w/ onions.
  6. In small bowl combine noodles, almonds & sunflower seeds.
  7. Sprinkle noodle/nut mixture on top of lettuce & onions.
  8. Add dressing and toss.
  9. Serve immediately.

What kind of Asian noodles? This is probably a dumb question. I have a recipe that calls for Ramen noodles. Would that be the kind?


I guess you could use Ramen, but I've always used those crunchy little noodles that go on top of salads & soups.
