Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place the pork roast in Dutch oven. Add 1/2 cup of wine and 1/2 water plus salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover and cook over low heat for about 2 hours. Add the sauerkraut, applesauce and brown sugar. Cover and simmer for about 1 to 1/2 hours longer or until the roast is tender and falling apart.
  • It can also be made in a crockpot - Add everything into crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours - I prefer it this way!

I have a pork roast aging quickly in my fridge. I may just throw it in the crockpot right now. I might even have everything I need. Thanks. L.
