Ingredients
  • 1 4-5 pound pork roast
  • 1 large can of sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Place the pork roast in Dutch oven. Add 1/2 cup of wine and 1/2 water plus salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cover and cook over low heat for about 2 hours. Add the sauerkraut, applesauce and brown sugar. Cover and simmer for about 1 to 1/2 hours longer or until the roast is tender and falling apart.
  3. It can also be made in a crockpot - Add everything into crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours - I prefer it this way!

This one sounds good, will prefer it over the orange pork roast that we have.Thank-you for the new idea.
Kind Regards

I have a pork roast aging quickly in my fridge. I may just throw it in the crockpot right now. I might even have everything I need. Thanks. L.
