Cornbread Beef Pie Recipe

This is a good meal on a cold winter's day.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lg. onion, chopped
- 1 can (10-1/2 oz.) tomato soup
- 2 C. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- Cornbread mixture made from my recipe Mamma's Cornbread
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Combine in skillet ground beef and onion, brown, drain.
- Add soup, water and salt.
- Mix well and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- Turn into a greased casserole dish.
- Top with the Mamma's Cornbread mixture.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Do not worry if the topping sinks during baking, it will rise again, and cook crispy.

It looks delicious but unfortunately if the cornbread mixture is a ready made mixture, it is not readily available all over the world, so it would be nice to have an alternative for those of us who do not have it available.
