I think this could be considered red hot mama's red hot apples....lol

Ingredients
  • 8 apples
  • 2cups sugar
  • 2cups water
  • 1/2 pk red hots candies
  • cream cheese( 4 oz or more if you need it ......personal taste here folks)
  • salad dressing
  • chopped pecans

Directions
  1. Peel and core 8 firm red apples
  2. mix together 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water,when hot stir in 1/2 pkg red hots candies stir until soft and dissolved.
  3. drop in apples and stir them until they become soft and a pretty color
  4. Set them aside to drain and chill
  5. then mix with a stuffing of soften cream cheese,chopped pecans,and enough salad dressing to moisten.
  6. serve on a lea\f of lettuce
