Hot Buttered Crab Recipe
This is the simplest crab recipe of all. One of my favorite methods as it truly showcases the taste of good fresh crab. Don't use the imported stuff....use good, fresh USA crab! Worth it.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lump crabmeat, backfin, shell and cartilage removed
  • 1 cup butter, do NOT substitute!
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry white wine
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions
  1. In a skillet, melt butter over low heat, add seasonings and wine. Stir well.
  2. Add crabmeat and saute, turning gently to keep the lumps as whole as possible until crab is warm. Serve immediately.
