Even if you don't like Chinese dishes you will like this. It has a lot of sauce and goes will with my Bacon, Egg and Rice dish.

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1½ to 2 lb. round steak, cut into thin slices
  • 1 large onion, cut into slices
  • 1 green pepper, cut into slices
  • 1 red pepper, cut into slices
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 4 T. cornstarch
  • 8 T. soy sauce
  • 4 t. sugar
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • ¾ t. black pepper

Directions
  1. Heat oil in electric skillet at 325° F.
  2. Add meat, cook until brown. Remove.
  3. Add onions and peppers, cook until they are tender.
  4. Dissove cornstarch into water add soy sauce, sugar, garlic and pepper.
  5. Pour into skillet over onions and peppers, stirring until sauce thickens.
  6. Add meat into sauce and cook until hot.
