How to make it

  • Bring water to a boil on high heat.
  • Add rice, cook for 1 minute, stirring the whole time.
  • Remove from heat. And cover.
  • You can do this the night before and put into fridge or do it in the morning and keep covered on the counter so rice absorbs the water.
  • Slice bacon into small strips and fry. When done remove bacon from grease.
  • Keep about 1 to 2 tablespoons of grease and put back into frying pan, discard the rest.
  • Beat eggs slightly and add to bacon grease in pan.
  • Cook until they just start to set and add rice and bacon.
  • Stir well to mix.
  • Add soy sauce until you get a nice light brown color, you will use 2 to 4 tablespoons of soy sauce.
  • Cover and cook until it looks dry, about 20 minutes.
  • You can taste it to see if it needs more soy sauce.
