Donuts and Holes

- Canned biscuit dough Donuts and Holes shopping list
- peanut oil, for frying shopping list
- 1-tspn ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2-cup granulated sugar shopping list
- Icings: shopping list
- 2-cups confectioner’s sugar, divided shopping list
- 5-tbspn milk, divided shopping list
- 1-tspn vanilla shopping list
- 1/4-cup cocoa powder shopping list
- 2 cans large buttermilk biscuits shopping list
- colored sprinkles shopping list
- chocolate sprinkles shopping list
How to make it
- In a shallow bowl, stir together the ground cinnamon and sugar and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1-cup of confectioner’s sugar, 2-tbspn milk and 10tspn vanilla, set aside.
- This si the vanilla icing. In another bowl, whisk together 1-cup confectioner’s sugar, 1/4-cup cocoa powder and 3-tbspn of milk.
- Set aside.
- This is the chocolate icing.
- Lay out the biscuits on a cutting board and with a 1-1/2-in round cookie or biscuit cutter
- (I used the lid from one of the bottles of my sprinkles.)
- Cut out a hole from the middle of each biscuit.
- Fry them in the oil until golden and then flip with tongs to fry the other side.
- You can even fry the donut holes.
- Drain on paper towels and then toss in the cinnamon sugar or ice and decorate with sprinkles.
