Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine sugar, flour, and salt in bowl
  • Place 1 pastry crust in a 9 inch pie plate
  • Sprinkle 1/2 of sugar mixture over bottom of chilled, unbaked pastry
  • Add blueberries and sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture
  • Drizzle lemon juice over top
  • Dot with the butter
  • Cover with the top crust, sealing edges well
  • Bake at 375 degrees for about 30-40 minutes or until crust is golden brown
  • Cool on wire rack
  • Slice and serve with vanilla ice cream
  • NOTE: IF A GLOSSY FINISH IS DESIRED, BRUSH TOP PASTRY WITH SLIGHTLY BEATEN EGG WHITES. THEN SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR BEFORE BAKING....MAKE SURE THE EGG WHITES DON'T PUDDLE ON THE PASTRY
