Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Fresh Mushroom Cream Sauce

- 4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts shopping list
- Dressing: shopping list
- 2 cups bread crumbs shopping list
- 2 tbsp. Melted butter shopping list
- 2 tbsp. onion shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning shopping list
- 1/4 cup hot water shopping list
- Mushroom Sauce: shopping list
- ½ lb. fresh mushrooms shopping list
- 2 tbsp. butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup minced onion shopping list
- 2 tbsp. flour shopping list
- ½ cup sour cream shopping list
- ½ pint whipping cream shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Chicken: Halve breasts and dust with flour, salt and paprika. Combine other ingredients, stuff breasts and hold together with toothpicks. Brown breasts in butter in fry pan and then bake in a 325 F oven for 1 hour.
- Mushroom Sauce: Lightly brown mushrooms and onion. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook very slowly adding cream and sour cream. Pour over chicken on a meat platter just before serving.
