Ingredients

How to make it

  • Jelly Layer: Place cake cubes in large 10 cup serving bowl; sprinkle with 3 T sherry. Add strawberries. Prepare jelly powder according to Quick Set directions on package. Spoon slightly thickened jelly over fruit. Chill until set.
  • Custard Layer: cook pudding and pie filling as directed on package increasing milk to 3 1/2 c. Place plastic wrap over surface of pudding and chill 40 min. Stir in remaining sherry. Fold 1 c whipped topping into pudding. Spoon over jelly in bowl. Chill at least 2 hours. Garnish with remained whipped topping and additional strawberries.
  • *Note: Custard layer can be made with Instant Pudding but do not increase the milk, just use the amount on package.
