Strawberry Sherry Trifle

- jelly Layer: shopping list
- 4 c. pound cake, cubed shopping list
- 3 T sweet sherry shopping list
- 2 c sliced fresh strawberries shopping list
- 1 pkg. strawberry jello powder shopping list
- custard layer: shopping list
- 1 pkg. vanilla pudding & pie filling mix (6 serving size) * See note below shopping list
- 3 T sweet sherry shopping list
- 1 tub Cool whip topping, thawed shopping list
How to make it
- Jelly Layer: Place cake cubes in large 10 cup serving bowl; sprinkle with 3 T sherry. Add strawberries. Prepare jelly powder according to Quick Set directions on package. Spoon slightly thickened jelly over fruit. Chill until set.
- Custard Layer: cook pudding and pie filling as directed on package increasing milk to 3 1/2 c. Place plastic wrap over surface of pudding and chill 40 min. Stir in remaining sherry. Fold 1 c whipped topping into pudding. Spoon over jelly in bowl. Chill at least 2 hours. Garnish with remained whipped topping and additional strawberries.
- *Note: Custard layer can be made with Instant Pudding but do not increase the milk, just use the amount on package.
