CHICKEN CREOLE

- 3/4 STICK butter shopping list
- 2 TBSP flour shopping list
- 2 CANS stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 2-3 LBS. COOKED, SHREDDED chicken. I USE THIGHS AND SHRED MYSELF. shopping list
- 2-3 CUPS cooked rice shopping list
- 1 LARGE onion DICED shopping list
- 1 TSP MINCED garlic shopping list
- salt AND pepper TO TASTE shopping list
- hot sauce OF CHOICE TO TASTE, I PREFER DURKEES RED HOT shopping list
How to make it
- COOK ONION AND GARLIC IN BUTTER UNTIL ONION IS TENDER.
- ADD FLOUR, SALT AND PEPPER. STIR WELL.
- ADD CHICKEN, STEWED TOMATOES AND HOT SAUCE. STIR WELL AND HEAT THOROUGHLY.
- ADD COOKED RICE AND HEAT AGAIN OR JUST SERVE OVER THE COOKED RICE, WHICHEVER YOU PREFER.
- I LIKE TO ADD THE RICE RIGHT TO THE POT OF CHICKEN MIXTURE, IT ALLOWS THE RICE TO ABSORB THE FLAVOR.
