CHICKEN CREOLE Recipe
EASY ONE POT MEAL SURE TO SATISFY YOUR HUNGER...GREAT IN THE WINTER

Ingredients
  • 3/4 STICK BUTTER
  • 2 TBSP FLOUR
  • 2 CANS STEWED TOMATOES
  • 2-3 LBS. COOKED, SHREDDED CHICKEN. I USE THIGHS AND SHRED MYSELF.
  • 2-3 CUPS COOKED RICE
  • 1 LARGE ONION DICED
  • 1 TSP MINCED GARLIC
  • SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
  • HOT SAUCE OF CHOICE TO TASTE, I PREFER DURKEES RED HOT

Directions
  1. COOK ONION AND GARLIC IN BUTTER UNTIL ONION IS TENDER.
  2. ADD FLOUR, SALT AND PEPPER. STIR WELL.
  3. ADD CHICKEN, STEWED TOMATOES AND HOT SAUCE. STIR WELL AND HEAT THOROUGHLY.
  4. ADD COOKED RICE AND HEAT AGAIN OR JUST SERVE OVER THE COOKED RICE, WHICHEVER YOU PREFER.
  5. I LIKE TO ADD THE RICE RIGHT TO THE POT OF CHICKEN MIXTURE, IT ALLOWS THE RICE TO ABSORB THE FLAVOR.
