This is the famous mud pie from the Chart House Restaurant. Great for this time of yr. Feel free to change it up and try different flavors but the original is delicious.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup crushed chocolate waffer cookies, crushed fine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup soft oleo
  • 1 gal cofee ice cream
  • 1 1/2 cup fudge sauce

Directions
  1. Crush waffers and add butter. Mix well.
  2. Press into 10 inch spring form pan.
  3. Cover with half of the ice cream (softened).
  4. Put in freezer for a short time till it hardens a bit. (easier to spread)
  5. Top with half of the fudge sauce and half of the cookie crumbs.
  6. Put on another layer of ice cream and fudge sauce.
  7. Top with the remaining cookie crumbs.
  8. Store in the freezer approximately 10 hours.
  9. Optional: May be topped with whipped cream & slivered almonds.
