Sour Cream Sugar Cookies Recipe

A nice soft sugar cookie.Makes quite of bit of cookies.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 c ups sugar
- 4 eggs
- small container sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 1/2 - 5 cups flour
Directions
- Cream butter n sugar together.Add egg and vanilla and sour cream. Mix well. Sift together soda powder n flour.Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out n cut with desired cookie cutters.Place on cookie sheet n bake 8-10 minutes.
- Frost or sprinkle with sugar before baking.

Henry I just make a sugar cookie icing.
4 Cups powder sugar
1/2 cup shortening
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
In large bowl cream together sugar n shortening til smooth. Gradually add milk and vanilla with mixer until smooth n stiff about 5 minutes.
