How to make it

  • Lightly pound each veal steak with meat mallet to tenderize to flatten slightly.
  • Coat veal with flour.
  • Shake off excess.
  • Layer one slice each of prosciutto and cheese and 1 sage leaf on each veal slice.
  • Roll up veal and tie with butcher string or secure with toothpicks.
  • Melt butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook veal rolls in butter for about 5 minutes .
  • Turning occasionally until brown .
  • Add wine and sprinkle rolls with salt and pepper .
  • Cover and cook over medium-high.
  • Heat about 5 minutes or until veal is no longer pink in center.
