How to make it

  • Sprinkle vegetables with salt & let stand for one hour. Drain.
  • Bring sugar, vinegar and spices to boil. Add vegetables and bring to 2nd boil. Boil for 20 minutes. Put in sterilized jars and seal.

    Mmmm, bread and butter pickles are the best. I had never tried them while living in Ireland but I've sure enjoyed them here. Thanks so much for this recipe. I'm going to be off work for the entire month of August and I am sooooooo looking forward to actually having the time to bake, cook and prepare some of the great recipes I have found here. This being one of them ;)
