Ingredients
  • 2-3 LBS BONELESS WESTERN STYLE PORK RIBS(CAN USE WITH BONES TO, GETS GREAT FLAVOR FROM THE BONES)
  • 1 ONION SLICED
  • GARLIC PEPPER
  • SEASON SALT, LAWRY'S OF COURSE
  • ACCENT
  • 1 CAN BEER OF CHOICE - MAKE SURE TO HAVE EXTRA FOR THE COOK
  • BBQ SAUCE OF CHOICE, USUALLY MAKE MY OWN

Directions
  1. SPRAY CROCK POT WELL WITH NON-STICK SPRAY
  2. THROW HALF OF THE ONIONS IN CROCK POT
  3. LAYER RIBS AND SPRINKLE WITH DESIRED AMOUNTS OF SEASONINGS (PLUS ANY OTHERS YOU MIGHT LIKE TO ADD)
  4. REPEAT LAYERS AND SEASON AGAIN.
  5. ADD BEER.
  6. COOK ON LOWEST TEMP FOR 5 HOURS. MY CROCK POT IS DIGITAL, I DON'T KNOW THE TEMP, BUT IT HAS 4 OR 6 HOURS ON THE TIMER. I SET IT FOR 6, BUT STOP THEM AT 5 (IF I CAN). 6 HOURS PROBABLY WON'T HURT, JUST START TO FALL APART AT THIS POINT.
  7. REMOVE CAREFULLY FROM CROCK POT AND TRANSFER TO A MEDIUM HEAT GRILL.
  8. BBQ IMMEDIATELY TO YOUR DESIRED DONESS AND SERVE!

I have to try this for my husband. He uses a smoker and this one I think I can do. Thanks for the great post.

I've made this and it's great. I also like to pressure cook the ribs while the coals burn down and brown up on the bbq. great post....Bob
