Ingredients
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup light corn syurp
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 1/3 cup nice pecan halves
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Beat eggs in a large bowl.
  3. Add brown sugar, corn syurp, salt, melted butter and vanilla to eggs.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pexcans in pie shell.
  5. Pour egg mixture over pecans.
  6. Arrange pecan halves around edge of filling next to crust.
  7. Bake in middle rack for 10 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue baking for 25-30 minutes, until set.

I love this pie too......always a favorite for the Holidays


Pecan is my favorite pie (of course it is - it's probably the sweetest pie out there, and I have an insatiable sweet tooth!)...I look forward to trying your version - sounds rich and decadent, as any self-respecting pecan pie should...thanks, thumper!
