- 1 Package Quick pizza crust shopping list
- 1/4 Pound hard salami shopping list
- 1/4 Pound Sandwich pepperoni shopping list
- 1/4 Pound genoa salami Margherita shopping list
- 1/4 Pound Proscuitto shopping list
- 1/4 Pound Provolone shopping list
- 1/4 Pound Swiss shopping list
- 1/4 Pound Mozarella shopping list
- flour shopping list
- Parmasean cheese shopping list
- italian seasoning shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1 Small Can pizza sauce shopping list
- *These measurements allow for more meat to be in the Stromboli. If you wish to double this recipe, 1/2 pound of each makes about 4 Stromboli and 1 can of sauce leaves pleanty for diners to use. shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven according to the pizza crust package.
- Mix the pizza crust according to the package.
- Place the dough on a smooth solid surface and roll the dough out until it is approximately 1 inch thick and oval shaped.
- Starting at the top of the oval (top of the long side) layer the meat and cheese staggering the layers. This should take up approximately 2/3 of the dough.
- Once you have meat and cheese to your liking, then roll the Stromboli into a loaf, putting the edges on the bottom, and pressing the open ends together as to close the "envelope" you have created.
- Place your Stromboli on a greesed cookie sheet.
- Baste the loaf with olive oil and sprinkle the top with Italian Seasoning and Parmasean to taste.
- Cut approximately 8 slits in the top of the loaf.
- Place the cookie sheet in the oven for approximatly 10 min, or until brown. (When in doubt, follow the directions on the pizza crust package)
- Place the Pizza Sauce in a bowl, and season to taste if desired.
- Remove Stromboli from oven, allow to cool. Cut on the slits, and enjoy!
