Ingredients
  • *Cake:
  • 18 oz yellow cake mix,
  • 3-1/2 oz instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup veg oil
  • 1/2 cup Southern Comfort
  • 1 cup nuts (your preference); chopped fine
  • *Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Southern Comfort

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Combine cake ingredients and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour into greased and floured 10 cup tube pan or 12 cup bundt pan.
  4. Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Cool for 15 minutes and invert on plate.
  6. Prick top gently with a fork and brush half of the glaze evenly over the top and sides.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Reheat remaining glaze and brush cooled cake again.
  9. Before serving, sift powdered sugar over cake.
  10. * GLAZE:
  11. Melt butter in medium saucepan.
  12. Stir in water and sugar.
  13. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  14. Remove from heat and add Southern Comfort.
