Creamy Chicken Stroganoff Recipe
Nice twist on the traditional beef stroganoff. Not lighter! Just as creamy and yummy!

Ingredients
  • 4 chicken breast halves without skin, sliced into strips
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, stem trimmed and sliced
  • 2 medium onions, sliced 1/4" thick
  • 1 small green pepper, stem and seeds removed, sliced into strips 1 1/2" long
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube, or chicken soup base
  • 3/4 cup white wine
  • salt , to taste
  • hot pepper, to taste, Hot Shot brand
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Heat oil in skillet. Brown chicken strips and remove with slotted spoon and keep warm.
  2. Add onion, garlic and green pepper to pan. Stir until wilted. Add mushrooms and continue to stir until mushrooms are cooked through. Add chicken back to pan. Add salt & Hot Shot to taste.
  3. Add boullion cube to pan and crush with the back of a spoon. Add white wine, stir, and simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream and simmer until well combined, but do not boil.
  4. Serve over noodles.
  5. NOTE: To make this GF, make Glutino tagliatelle noodles. They taste exactly the same as regular egg noodles!
