Festive Torta

- 2 8oz packages cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 8oz package goat cheese shopping list
- 1t garlic powder shopping list
- 1T dried dill weed shopping list
- 2T fresh chives, snipped shopping list
- 2T olive oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup prepared pesto, drained shopping list
- 1 jar roasted red peppers, drained and chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Line 1qt glass dish or loaf pan with plastic wrap.
- Mix cheeses, garlic and dill until well combined.
- Slowly add oil until blended.
- Add chives and mix until just combined.
- Spread 1/3 of cheese mixture in bottom of lined bowl/pan.
- Cover that layer with pesto, then 1/2 of remaining cheese mixture.
- Top that layer with peppers, then rest of cheese mixture.
- Cover tightly with another layer of plastic wrap and chill well.(at least 3 hours)
- *For serving, unmold cheese, remove plastic, and carefully smooth sides and "top"(was the bottom) for a better presentation. Serve with sesame or wheat crackers or toasted French bread slices*
- ***for another variation, you can completely drain and finely chop a jar of green olives to replace the pesto and/or the roasted red pepper can be replaced with sun dried tomatoes in oil***
