Here's a simple cake recipe that's perfect for a brunch, tea party or dinner event. Its made by using a cake mix and is as flavorful as it is moist. If you like cherries and chocolate, this is a recipe for you.

Ingredients
- 1 pkg. of yellow or white cake mix
- 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 cup of canned cherries for pie mix
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients except for the chips, cherries and nuts in a large bowl. When mixed well, gently fold in the cherries, chips and nuts.
- Bake in a greased and floured bundt pan or tube for 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
- *Optional: Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar after the cake has cooled completely.
- *For a Black Forest-style of cake, use a chocolate cake mix.
