From chef_juan_ahbee 15 years agoIngredients
- 1 Large bell pepper - Chopped shopping list
- 1 red pepper - Chopped shopping list
- 1 Cup soy sauce shopping list
- 2 cups dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1 dozen jalapeno peppers shopping list
- 1-8 oz package of softened cream cheese shopping list
- 1 package of thinly sliced bacon shopping list
- 1 Tsp paprika shopping list
- 1/4 Tsp cayenne shopping list
- 1 Tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Set the Heat on the Smoker to equate to about 250 degrees
- Marinade the Chopped Red and Green Peppers in the mixture of Soy and Brown Sugar for 2 hours.
- Cut the stems off of the Jalapenos, slice in 1/2 and seed the peppers.
- Mix the softened Cream Cheese and the drained, marinated sweet peppers in a freezer bag and cut a 1/2" portion from the bottom corner of the bag to use as a pastry bag.
- Fill the Jalapeno halves with the cream cheese mixture and put the halves back together.
- Wrap a 1/2 slice of bacon around the Jalapeno and insert a toothpick into to hold together
- Mix your Dry Seasonings together and sprinkle lightly onto the Poppers.
- Smoke until the Bacon is done (Approx 2 hours for me)
- Please use caution if you are not using indirect heat, the bacon drippings will catch fire.
