How to make it

  • Here goes:
  • Marinate alligator in hot pepper sauce, salt. lemon juice, and enough water to cover.
  • Drain
  • Grind alligator with potato, green pepper, garlic and salt and pepper.
  • Form into patties.
  • Drop into hot oil until golden brown.
  • Note: Instead of grinding, pieces may be rolled in flour or cornmeal and fried.
  • If any of you try... let me know.

    I have cooked (fried) Gator but not this way..but sounds good....
    check my site later for my recipe...Tell you how to get rid of the toughness in the gator meat...
    my family loves this...My son in law gave me the gator...he said the person that cooked it he really didn't care for it...UNTIL he ate mine...
    He said it was really tender ...the other one that he had tried was tough...
    but like I said this is different to do with gator can't wait to try it.

    They serve this at our local Music Fest in the Fall... Ive never tried it.....but might!!!!

    Nice!! Never really liked gator cause it's too tough a meat, but I dont't think I tried it after it was marinated. I'll try this if I can find a gator in my back yard in Kansas.LOL
