I finally got around to making this and I was right, they loved it! My 17 yr. girl does't care for the sausage, but ate 3 bowls of this soup! The broth was heaven. I only had dried herbs, but will try again with fresh. Thanks again and Rock On!!

I've been using smoked sausage in my from scratch soups for years, Stewie! It works really well with both split pea and lentil, but I like it best with cabbage! This sounds tasty.
