How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven 350*
  • Grease bottom of spring form pan. Sprinkle with first Almonds and set aside.
  • Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat 1-2 minutes on medium.
  • Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
  • Combine dry ingredients flour, baking powder,baking soda and salt.
  • Add alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture starting with dry and ending with dry. Mixing well after each addition.
  • Spread 3 cups of batter over almonds in prepared pan.
  • Spoon cranberry sauce over batter spreading evenly to cover.
  • Top with remaining batter spreading to cover cranberry sauce.
  • For Topping:
  • Combine all dry ingredients.
  • Cut in butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over top of batter.
  • Bake 70 - 75 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool on rack 15 minutes in pan. Remove sides of pan serve warm either as is or with a dollop of whipped cream.
