No Bakes - Cookie Recipe
This is an old favorite I've been making since my Home Economic days at Henry Clay High School in Lexington KY. They are made on the stovetop instead of baking, quick, simple and tasty.

Ingredients
  • 2c sugar
  • 1/2c milk
  • 1/4c margarine or butter (cut up in smaller pieces for easier melting)
  • 1/4c cocoa
  • 3 - 4 heaping T Peanut Butter
  • 1t vanilla
  • 3c quick oats

Directions
  1. In the good size pan add the sugar, milk, margarine and cocoa.
  2. Stir until completely mixed together.
  3. Continue to stir until mixture comes to a complete full boil.
  4. Allow to boil for one minute.
  5. Remove from heat stir in vanilla.
  6. Add peanut butter stir, add in
  7. the oats,
  8. stir until all mixed together, do this quickly and drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper,
  9. let sit until cool will firm up.
  10. Get a nice glass of milk, grab some cookies, sit back and enjoy! A very nutritious snack, peanut butter has protein, oats has fiber, butter is your dairy, cocoa - chocolate good for your mood <G>, see nutritious and delicious!
