Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup C&H Pure Cane Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1-3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, cut into thin pats
  • ***Do not add the cocoa for a Vanilla pudding!

Directions
  1. Instructions:
  2. Place cocoa, sugar and cornstarch in an 8-cup glass measure or deep microwaveable bowl and stir to blend. (If cocoa powder has lumps, sift first.)
  3. Using a fork or wire whisk, briskly and gradually whisk in milk so there are no lumps.
  4. Add butter.
  5. Microwave uncovered on 100% power (High) 4 minutes.
  6. Stir briskly.
  7. Continue microwaving 2 minutes longer.
  8. Stir to combine thickened edges with liquid center. Cook 1 to 2 minutes longer or until mixture thickens to a creamy, spoonable consistency.
  9. Immediately place wax paper or plastic wrap directly on surface of pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
  10. Serve warm or pour into dessert dishes and refrigerate.
  11. Serving Suggestions:
  12. Spoon warm pudding over angel food cake or pound cake.
  13. Dip fresh strawberries or vanilla wafers into the pudding
  14. Pour over fruit pies like apple pie. (Do not add the cocoa!)
  15. **Pudding Sundae Recipe
  16. Small cubes of cake, your choice of flavor
  17. Top with pudding, whipped cream, hot fudge or warmed caramel, toasted pecans or almonds and freshly whipped cream. YUM!

People would forsake the boxed kind if they would try the homemade.

Great recipe... I will use this one instead of the one I have... thank you..

I love, love microwave pudding! So easy, so quick and so delicius!

And you don't have to heat up the kitchen. Give me a ladel and a big bowl...I'll eat the whole thing if not supervised.

Awesome! Be a lot better than the old boxed stuff.

For this one I have all the ingredients annieamie :) Great posting..
