This is another that my friend gave me, years ago. It has a great flavor.

Ingredients
  • 2 slices bacon -- diced
  • 1 small onion -- diced
  • 36 ounces baked beans (canned)
  • 1/2 cup root beer (not diet)
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 drop of hot pepper sauce, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper -to taste

Directions
  1. Cook bacon with onion in saucepan until bacon is brown and crisp.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Heat to a boil; reduce heat and simmer,
  4. stirring often, until slightly thickened, about 20 mins.
  5. Serve with hotdogs, hamburgers, bbq or at any cook out.
