Alehouse Brisket

- 4 pound beef brisket shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1/3 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1 cup beer shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
How to make it
- Place meat in roasting pan and brown uncovered in oven.
- Season meat with pepper.
- Dissolve onion soup mix in water.
- Mix ketchup and beer together then add soup mixture and pour over meat.
- Cover pan with foil and roast 2 hours.
- Add flour to 1/4 cup pan drippings to make a paste then stir paste into gravy in pan.
- Return pan to oven and continue roasting an additional 30 minutes.
- Slice meat across grain and serve with gravy.
