How to make it

  • Place meat in roasting pan and brown uncovered in oven.
  • Season meat with pepper.
  • Dissolve onion soup mix in water.
  • Mix ketchup and beer together then add soup mixture and pour over meat.
  • Cover pan with foil and roast 2 hours.
  • Add flour to 1/4 cup pan drippings to make a paste then stir paste into gravy in pan.
  • Return pan to oven and continue roasting an additional 30 minutes.
  • Slice meat across grain and serve with gravy.

    I am told I am a great cook, but I can't cook a roast? I'm going to give this a try. This sounds like I could be successful. If not I know it's me. L.
