How to make it

  • mix the ground beef with the eggs, onion, bread crumbs, and spices of your choice
  • shape into balls
  • brown the meatballs on all sides
  • boil the last three ingredients together
  • put the meatballs into a pan and pour the sauce over the meat
  • bake at 350 for 40 minutes

    The sauce that goes on the meatballs tasted great! I made mine a little too thin, but the flavor was certainly there!

    For regular meatballs, I also add Italian seasoning, garlic, crushed herb seasoned croutons and sour cream.

    My dad called me earlier and asked me about meatballs. Well I'm not very good at them so I'm giving him this recipe. He would like to use his slo-cooker. I would think these would cook well that way, too. Will let you know. :)~~ang

    this is an interesting recipe...I like it....Have you tried to add raisins in the mixture.....it keeps the meat so moist and tender...also gives the sauce the right amount of sugar to cut the acid out......
